Frequently Asked Questions on High School Placement Tests: HSPT/ISEE/SSAT

What-is-the-HSPT-ISEE-SATEighth-grade students who wish to attend a private or Catholic high school will be required to take a high school admission or placement test. Most private high schools use the High School Placement Test (HSPT), Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT).

Similar to taking the SAT or ACT for college scholarships and course placement, private high schools are no different. Nearly all private high schools now offer scholarships based on placement test scores, and all use the placement test scores for Honors, AP or IB advanced coursework eligibility. Listen here:

Typically, this is an eighth grader’s first experience with national testing that has significant consequences from his or her performance. Our program will help prepare them for these tests.

The most important key to success in taking high school placement tests is becoming familiar with the test format and content. Payment for Services

Seeley Test Pros accepts payment by check, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal. There is a 5% convenience fee with PayPal. Checks can be made payable to Seeley Test Pros. All fees can be pre-paid or are due at the time of service. There are no refunds on pre-paid fees.

Cancellation Policy

Seeley Test Pros will attempt to accommodate scheduling changes, but only with a minimum of 24-hours notice prior to the scheduled tutoring appointment or class session. The notice must be provided by phone, directly to the instructor. If email and/or text communications of the cancellation are provided, such is only effective upon the receipt and responsive confirmation by the instructor.
